Task
Provide investment attraction and transaction advisory services for the SUED programmed.
Approach/Execution
- Leading a pool of investment analysts and transaction advisors to identify climate-resilient infrastructure and value chain projects in counties.
- Map and screen county government by carrying out a readiness assessment.
- Conducting extensive stakeholder consultation with county officials, municipal boards, communities, farmers, and private sector organizations.
- Developing a project screening tool to identify priority climate-resilient projects in the county.
- Identify various sources of funding including exploring the county climate change funds, seed capital from FCDO and private investments. Building the capacities of the county and municipality on climate resilience.
Solution
Availability of climate finance for resilient infrastructure for seven county governments.
