Sustainability Analyst
Job Purpose
The Sustainability analyst plays a crucial role in executing various projects aimed at assisting clients from diverse industry sectors in Africa with sustainability advisory and reporting. Their responsibilities encompass tasks such as formulating sustainability strategies and reports, conducting research, and closely monitoring and evaluating progress to ensure exceptional client satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities & Duties
- Collect and analyze data related to the economic, social, and environmental performance of clients.
- Write clear and compelling corporate sustainability reports presenting clients’ environmental, social, and economic performance in line with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, sector-specific disclosure frameworks and relevant stock exchange reporting guidelines.
- Develop content and design of PowerPoint presentations for meetings, trainings, and workshops to build client capacity on sustainability implementation.
- Support in the development and tracking of workplans and budgets for delivery of projects.
- Support project leads in implementing projects with clients, through research, writing and consulting on environmental, social and governance issues.
- Contribute to proposal development to help in the growth and impact of Impact Africa.
- Support in the enhancement of knowledge and skills of internal staff through internal training and knowledge management.

Functional Skills
- Knowledgeable on various sustainability reporting frameworks.
- Strong computer skills in basic standardized software (Microsoft suites)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethics.
- A strong team player who can work collaboratively to deliver projects and tasks effectively.
